  1. Use of pictures and names
  2. By participating in the contest, you give WongaBoss the right to use without charge and without further permission to publish the winners’ names on WongaBoss channels such as websites and social media, and use such for marketing purposes related to WongaBoss (without limitation in time).

  3. General Conditions
  4. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by WongaBoss in its sole discretion, WongaBoss may either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of the official rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize to the most eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.

    WongaBoss reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these official rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, WongaBoss reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney's fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the WongaBoss to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

  5. Release and Limitations of Liability

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless WongaBoss, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) application/book downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the processing of entries application downloads or in any Contest-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). The entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney's fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. The Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

  7. Disputes
  8. Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate legal channels. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of WongaBoss in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Nigeria, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Nigeria.

  9. Privacy
  10. We regard the lawful and correct treatment of personal information as important to our successful operations and to the maintenance of confidence of those with whom we deal. As such this statement will apply equally to all of our offices irrespective of where they are based. Click here to read our full privacy policy. (Information collected from entrants is subject to the WongaBoss privacy policy. We collect and use personal data to offer people information, products and services. This policy will apply in all locations where we operate, to all forms of information and to all systems used to collect, store, process or transfer information.

    WongaBoss applies the UK Data Protection Act 2018 as a global privacy standard together with local data protection law in the countries where it operates. In countries where the UK Data Protection Act 2018 conflicts with local law, local law that meets internationally accepted privacy principles will take precedence.

    WongaBoss is committed to:

    • performing privacy impact assessments to protect the privacy and rights of its customers and employees.
    • protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information it collects, stores, transfers and processes in accordance with international law and international good practice, and to meeting its legal requirements and contractual obligations.
    • explaining why it needs personal information, only asking for the personal information it needs and only sharing personal information within the British Council and with other organisations as necessary or where the person concerned has given their consent.
    • allowing people to request access to the personal information it holds on them and to complain if they believe their information has been mishandled.
    • not keeping personal information for lonWongaBoss than necessary.
    • taking measures to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals whose personal information may be transferred to countries with differing data protection laws.
    • ensuring that actual or suspected breaches of information security are reported and investigated.
    • assessing and measuring the maturity of its information security controls annually.
    • applying these standards to its supply chain and delivery partners.

    We will provide adequate and appropriate resources to implement this policy and will ensure it is communicated and understood.

    WongaBoss will review this global policy statement annually to reflect new legal and regulatory developments and ensure good practice.

  14. If you wish to make a complaint, you may do so by email. All complaints should be made within 90 days of the date that the event occurred, or the date that the issue came to your attention. We are committed to providing a transparent, high quality and accessible service to everyone we deal with, and we hope to make your experience with us an excellent one. We want to hear your comments and suggestions about the service you experienced when you contacted us, or when using any of our products or services. We also know that sometimes things go wrong, and that’s where our complaints policy comes in. If you have a comment or complaint you wish to make, you are encouraged to talk to us, as this will help us to learn from our mistakes and improve our service wherever possible.

    Regardless of what your complaint is about, where in the world you are based or the medium you use to contact us, you will be dealt with seriously and impartially. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within three working days, and resolve it fully within ten. Where cases are more complex, or if your complaint is escalated lonWongaBoss timescales may apply, and we will notify you about these when we talk to you. We want to put things right for you wherever we can, and we work to resolve matters quickly and fairly. We will explain to you what went wrong and why, and take action to remedy the situation. Sometimes, we can only apologise for certain situations, but we will draw upon your feedback to make recommendations for future improvements.

  15. Handling Your Complaint
  16. Your complaint will be dealt with in the strictest confidence, in line with our Global Information Security and Privacy policy. Information about you will be shared internally, only as necessary to investigate and resolve your complaint. We will only disclose your information to third parties with your consent, or if we are legally required to do so..
